It has been a good week, but super busy. This is the first week Aaron was back traveling for work, and we miss him - we had gotten use to having him home over the holidays! My 29th birthday was yesterday and there has been so much going on we are putting of celebrating until later...maybe this weekend! Last year of my twenties - but it is going to be a good one!
We are also trying to finish up major parts of our kitchen renovation. The process has been such a nightmare...but I'll save that for it's own post once it is completely done and I can share pictures.
Anyway, here are some of my favorite things from this week...
// Baby Girl
If you follow me on Instagram (@emilykaysteiner) you know that we found out Baby Steiner is a girl! We are so incredibly excited - and even more thrilled that everything went well at the anatomy ultrasound and she seems to be strong and healthy. She is super active and moves around so much, and I'm finally starting to feel it, which is so awesome. Only like 19 more weeks until we get to meet our baby girl!
// The Clothes - Baby
Guys, it has already begun. Ever since finding out the baby is a girl, I've been picking up little items here and there, especially a few clothing things. They are just TOO cute and there are so many good sales right now. My favorite purchase so far though is a little striped dress from Baby Gap.

I can't fight it any longer, maternity clothes are now necessary. I've had to break down and order a few things (because there are very few options available to try on in stores - ANNOYING) and I can't wait for them to arrive because all pants and bottoms are starting to get too uncomfortable! I think spring and summer will be better because dresses will be easier to wear, but until then...give me all the leggings and stretchy topped pants! I'd love any recommendations from you Mamas out there on your favorite maternity items or brands!

I picked up The Woman in Cabin 10 after seeing it on Katie's Instagram (@ka5ohare). It looks and sounds like the perfect read for me - similar thriller genre to Girl on the Train, which I loved. It has good reviews from what I've seen, and I am going to try and start reading it over the long weekend coming up!

I have been trying to drink more water during the day, especially since finding out I was pregnant. I try and get around 60-80 oz each day, and having a consistent bottle to drink out of really makes it easier to track. I love this one I picked up off Amazon because it is glass, BPA free, and has a straw ;) It is 20 oz, so I try to fill it up and finish it at least 3 times a day.
What have been your favorites from the past week? xx
My favorite maternity jeans have been the Old Navy ones. I bought two pairs, a flare and skinny, back when I was 18 weeks and I am still wearing them at 36 weeks. They have really held up through all the washes and they are super comfortable. Plus side: If you are close to an Old Navy they have a little bit of a selection in the store which was super handy to try on and actually leave with something in my hands. I just ordered that glass too! I have been trying to stay on track with my water intake too and know I am going to really need to once little miss is here :)
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss the post about baby girl?! How exciting!! Girls are SO fun!!! Congrats! Maternity clothes shopping is super sucky in stores! Sometimes you can find some great things on ebay! Otherwise, I would search the clearance rack at Motherhood Maternity (because their stuff is totally over priced most of the time!) and Target, Old Navy, or Pink Blush Maternity were my other go to's! Happy Belated Birthday!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday girl!! Enjoy your last year before you join me in the 30's club :)
