Target Treasures
Happy Friday ladies! Do you all have fun plans for the weekend? We have a couple things on the books...Damian's high school musical tonight and a couple of Aubrey's soccer games to go to...but other than that, I want to spend Saturday and Sunday getting a few things checked off the "Before Baby To-Do List". We will see how much I actually get done though... ;)
Thought I would pop on today and share some of my favorite finds from Target that I have picked up recently. You all know my love of Target by now, and I am always amazed at what great things can be found there - and in so many different categories (clothes, cosmetics, shoes, home decor...etc, etc.) These are all things I've purchased over the past two weeks and am loving so far!

currently loving
Happy Hump Day ladies!
Thought I would pop on and share some of my recent favorite finds and purchases!
Express Faded Denim Shirt //
Going to attempt the double denim look this spring if I can find the right jeans to pair it with! ;)
Target "Tracy" Wedges //
I literally can never have enough nude/camel color wedge sandals - this is probably the 5th pair in my closet. Can't wait until the temperatures gets a bit warmer outside and I can pair these with a cute spring outfit!
Han Taupey Plum Eye Shadow //
This came in my Petit Vour box this month and I love it - I probably use it at least 3 times a week. The color is beautiful, the consistency is amazing, and it is 100% vegan and cruelty free...rice powder based with plant derived colors! I will definitely be picking up more of their line!
Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex Bubble Bath & Body Wash //
I actually received this as a gift over Christmas and just got around to using it this past week. It smells AMAZING. Another completely cruelty free product win!
Juice Beauty STEM CELLULAR Booster Serum //
A little pricey for the full sized product, but I was able to get a trial size in February's Petit Vour beauty box. I don't know much about serums and eye creams, as I just started using them recently, but I do like this one so far...it has a little tinge to it when applied under the eyes, which I actually like because it makes me feel like it's working ;)
Mossimo Printed Peasant Top //
This was one of those random "super finds" one day when I was at Target (shopping for something entirely different, like paper towels haha)...I saw it on the clearance rack, grabbed it, and it ended up looking great once I put it on! Not sure why it's full price online, but it was only like $11 at my local Target. You can see it on my Instagram here.

home decor // spring table
I finally got around to updating our dining room center piece! I know I posted on some inspiration a couple weeks ago, and I actually ended up using a few of the pieces from Target. I didn't go with any tray or basket in the middle because we have a relatively small table, and everything was too big - but I like how it turned out with just a runner and a few spring touches!

spring centerpiece // target
Target has been consistently bringing great decor items into their stores for the past few months now. I stopped in recently for something random...like dish soap...and ended up getting side tracked by the home section for nearly an hour{that place is seriously like a black hole}.
Even though it has just started snowing here in Columbus for the first time this winter, I'm already itching for Spring decor. Here are some things I have my eye on for a centerpiece to replace my winter decor on our main dining table in the kitchen.

christmas decor
I couldn't wait any longer...so our Christmas decorations are officially up :)
100% of what we have out right now (and that is pictured) can be found at Target. Their holiday decor displays and products right now are amazing!
There are still some areas of the house that I want to add to though, but I need to look around a few more stores and see what I can find. I'm going to try and check out World Market, TJ Maxx, and Home Goods over the long weekend.
Have any of you ladies caved and started decorating yet? I just get so excited for the season and I'll be honest...I can never wait very long after Halloween to dive on into the Christmas spirit!

PSA: Target Holiday Decor
I
don't know if many of you have been to your local Target stores lately,
but if you haven't...make it a priority! Their new holiday home decor
line is out - and it is amazing. As if there wasn't enough to spend my
money on in this store already, they went and stepped up their game
AGAIN!
I
went in the other night to scan the Christmas decor that is
typically in the back corner of the store (you know, in the Seasonal
area?). Well, there wasn't much there that I was interested in, and it bummed
me out, so I made my way back to the front of the store to check out.
Then BAM! As I walked through the home section... low and behold the most
aesthetically pleasing display you ever did see...
I was overwhelmed, but I managed to compose myself and pick out a few items...and kept it to $100 even though I wanted to spend like a thousand ;)
I picked out the mirror tray and large basket.
{although the basket is too big and I'm going to have to return it for the smaller size}
There were so many other items that caught my eye, and Target online is running a promotion right now...Buy 2 save 10%, Buy 3 save 15% on Holiday Items, and free shipping...so I'll be ordering a few more things today!

friday ~ 8.8.14
Am I the only one that has been completely exhausted this week? I don't know why, but Friday couldn't come soon enough - this chick is going to bed early tonight and sleeping in tomorrow!
Linking up with tons of fab ladies this Friday...
{ Purchases }
Picked up tons of new basics and neutrals at H&M the other day...you can never have enough!
And a new PJ set from Target - super cute, SUPER soft, and only $20!
{ Lady Bug }
Eep! She is perfect!! <3
{ Frustrations }
When that one ass hole driver speeds around an entire line of traffic on the highway...
then squeezes themselves in at the last minute basically cutting EVERYONE.
Why does this happen to me multiple times a week and make me want to explode?
YOU KNOW that it goes down to one lane - why be rude??!!
{ Funnies }
Yes. Got the eyebrows down, now just need to work on the booty part ;)
Julia Roberts on Jimmy Kimmel - hilarious - I knew I loved her for a reason :)

1. Favorite Purchase
So, I did a little shopping the other day at H&M (haul post to come soon!) and I got some really cute drapey tank tops for summer. Then, I was at Target the next day and saw these palazzo pants and realized they would be perfect to pair with the tanks and some wedges!
They didn't have my size so I ordered online and I'm waiting for them to show up on my doorstep ;)

2. Favorite New Site - Fabletics
My tank and capri leggings arrived in the mail, and I have to say - I really like them!
The quality is great and the fit is good too. The items I picked are tight, but that's how I feel like these style of work out items are meant to fit. They will be awesome for dance class :)
I already wore them once to the gym and they were so comfortable and quite airy and sweat resistant which was nice!
I got a small in the tank and medium in the pants. I do think that next time I order, I'll get a medium top since my only complaint is the small is a bit snug around my chest. I should've known better, big boobs are impossible to control ;)
Check it out! When you sign up (free) your first outfit can be as low as $25!
PS - It's a bit confusing, but if you sign up to be VIP, like I did, you get the chance to get an outfit each month for $50...which for 2-3 pieces is way cheaper than you'd pay anywhere else. However, you are NOT OBLIGATED to spend $50/month, you just need to remember to log in and skip the month so you don't get charged - it put a nice little reminder on my calendar for the first of every month!
3. Favorite Moment of the Week
This Wednesday was the last day of summer semester classes!
Now I have three whole weeks off before starting back for fall semester on Aug 27th.

4. Favorite Song
Every year, there is a song I'll hear that just feels like it's my "summer song".
A couple years ago it was Midnight City (M83)...I can't remember what last year's was...
And this year, it's Waves (Mr. Probz).
5. Favorite Funnies
True to form, the majority are about food ;)

I'm really loving the two wide leg pants and those d'orsay knock-off flats! And you could all these trendy pieces for just over $150...you know I love a good bargain! ;)

Aaron and I are off to Akron this weekend for Abby's birthday and Michelle's bridal shower, busy busy...but it's going to be a great time and I'm so excited to see so many of my good friends!! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend too! xx

Weekend Wrap-Up
This weekend felt so short after the long weekend and short week we just had!
Aaron and I got a lot done though, and still found plenty of time to relax before heading back to work on Monday.
I needed something classic for work, that will last a long time, but wasn't "boring". I feel like so many coats are just...blah. Either cheap looking, or not the exact style I am looking for...
I really wanted to find something a bit different, but that wasn't too trendy either. Always asking too much aren't I? ;)
Anyway...Laura posted this gorgeous jacket a week or so ago and I was so excited! It was even from Target (which = no scary price tag)...I couldn't get there fast enough haha! I think I went out and tried it on the next day. I ended up getting it in black (for some reason the camel color didn't look as nice in person) but I ordered it offline because there were two coupon codes - 20% off and free shipping!
It has been so perfect - I'll post some outfit pictures with it soon :)

While ordering my jacket I stumbled across the CUTEST thermal pj set - so naturally, they made it into my shopping cart as well (it's ok, there was 20% off, remember? ;)
I've been eyeing the Victoria's Secret thermal pjs for awhile, but haven't bought them yet, as they are like $60 (really? for cotton pjs?)...so I was excited that these were only $20!
If you can't tell - those a little foxes all over the leggings.
And those awesome socks are from Forever 21 ;)
Date night consisted of pizza (shocker). We got Yellow Brick again and decided to try their new special for November called "Winner Winner Chicken Dinner".
Now, I was very skeptical, because this pizza consists of some odd ingredients...chicken (duh), corn, red onion, cranberries, mashed potatoes (as the "sauce") and then gravy after being baked. But I gave it a chance because some of their pizzas that sound the weirdest, actually taste the best.
This was AMAZING. Basically, it tasted like Thanksgiving dinner on a pizza. I couldn't shut up about it and we will probably have to order it again this weekend ;)
I also grabbed myself a treat at the grocery store - something that I love, but don't each too much.
Crusty french bread, brie, and blackberry jam.
Bake the cheese in the oven until warm and melty - add some jam - dip in pieces of crusty bread.
So simple and just DELICIOUS.
You need to try if you haven't!! It's the perfect snack for girls night, my friends and I always end up making it when we get together.
Finally, just wanted to share that I made a button for my blog - it's over on the side bar if anyone wants to "grab" it! I've added some buttons of my favorite daily reads too! :))
Have a great week!! xx
