the best anniversary yet

Taking a break from the typical Friday posts to share some special news...

Many of you may have seen on my Instagram already, but Aaron proposed on our anniversary this Wednesday! It was a complete surprise and so romantic and perfect!

Our 4 year anniversary was Wednesday, June 3rd and I thought Aaron was going to be home super late because he was out of state traveling for work...so I took off Thursday so we could celebrate our anniversary then. I had work and school, like always, but when I pulled up to the house at 9:30 after getting home from class, I saw hundred of candles lining our front porch...

As I walked into the house, there were candles and white roses everywhere...and Aaron on bended knee :) I'll keep his speech to myself, but let's just say we were both in tears (and it had me close to sobbing haha!)

My heart is bursting with happiness and I am so beyond excited to marry my best friend!

He customized the ring himself and it is just perfect...

Needless to say, this has been the best anniversary yet...and one of the best days of my life! Planning won't start for a while because I need to finish school...doing both on top of working would just be too much - so we are just enjoying being engaged now! I'm excited to share the planning with all of you once it begins though! xx

Weekending

Happy Monday ladies! Hope you all had nice, relaxing weekends :) Linking up with one of my favorite bloggers...Biana {B Loved Boston} for the first edition of "Weekending"!

I had a great time this weekend...Aaron and I traveled up to northern Ohio {for the second weekend in a row} to celebrate our anniversary. It's technically tomorrow, June 3rd...but I bought him Cleveland Indians tickets for Saturday's game, so we celebrated early!

The game was so much fun! I love baseball and it had been ages since I'd been to a major league game. It was beautiful weather...just a bit hot - I'm lucky I didn't get sunburned. I was able to buy a {tiny} bottle of sunscreen once we got there, thank goodness! Although it was $4 for like 1 oz. - talk about a rip off.

Perfect seats with a great view of the field!

Enjoying an $8.00 IPA - the mark up on these is so crazy...
You can get a 4 pack at the grocery store for $8.00!

The Indians won {yay!} and we head to Akron to spend time with our best friends Abby and Zack - who's first baby is due any day now!! Oh - and I remembered to snap some pictures of the 3 canvases I made her for her baby shower gift {that I forgot to take pictures of when I told you all about it a few weeks ago} They haven't had a change to hang them yet, but they will go right over the crib in the nursery. Sorry for the crappy picture quality - I only had my phone to take pictures with.

We drove back to Columbus early on Sunday because Aaron had a baseball game to play in. It was a baseball-filled weekend! It was a really good game, with more nice weather... and their team ended up winning 18-1.

We ended the weekend with Game of Thrones...which if any of you watch - holy cow what a shocking episode! Although, I shouldn't really be shocked by anything that happens on that show anymore!

Head to Biana's blog to link up and share your weekend happenings! xx

anniversary

June 3rd was my anniversary with Aaron <3
We didn't do anything big, since we just bought a house and have been throwing all of our money into projects and bills. Plus, we are both pretty mellow and enjoy a night at home watching cheesy movies just as much as a night out.

He did surprise me with beautiful yellow roses when I got home from work...

And, as always, he spoiled me with way too much ;) I am very lucky to have a man with amazing fashion sense.

Gorgeous Tom Ford sunglasses (Iris) in black and gold. I was so excited to get these! I have never had a nice, designer pair...I can finally get rid of my $5.00 aviators from Forever21 that are falling apart ;)

Kelsi Dagger espadrille wedges in black - perfect for the summer! I have a few black summer dresses and needed shoes to wear with them. He also got me two other pairs of Kelsi Dagger heels, but they were a bit too small, so we returned them.

Aaron and I met over 2 years ago at a mutal friend's college graduation party. It is actually funny that we never met before then, because we are best friends with all the same people...who are constantly getting together for weddings, picnics, vacations, holidays, etc. Once we were dating, we actually realized that we had been at quite a few events together and never actually met!

But, I think it was meant to be. We met when we were supposed to. And I loved him from the minute we met...what can I say...when you know, you know. He's the best person that has ever come into my life, and I feel so lucky, everyday that I am in love with my best friend<3
